Install LionVPN on supported x86_64 Linux distributions with DEB, RPM, or portable tar.gz packages. OpenWrt IPK builds are available for x86_64, ARM64 generic, ARM64 Cortex-A53/A72, ARMv7 Cortex-A7/A9, and MT7621/mipsel routers so a compatible router can act as the gateway for Xbox, TV, and devices that cannot install LionVPN directly.
Desktop Linux builds target x86_64 / amd64 systemd distributions including Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL-compatible systems, and manual installs.
Each desktop package is published with SHA256 checksums and signed checksum files.
OpenWrt IPKs are available for x86_64, aarch64_generic, aarch64_cortex-a53, aarch64_cortex-a72, arm_cortex-a7_neon-vfpv4, arm_cortex-a9_vfpv3-d16, mipsel_24kc.
The CLI lists regions and account state without exposing raw server IPs to the user interface.
The current desktop Linux release is intended for x86_64 systems that use systemd. Choose the package format that matches the distribution, then use the LionVPN CLI to log in, list regions, connect, and verify status.
Download the package from lionvpn.com, verify the SHA256 checksum or signed checksum file, then run the installer. The service runs as peervpnd and the current user should be added to the peervpn group before running the CLI.
Xbox, Apple TV, smart TVs, and other consoles do not install LionVPN directly. With a compatible OpenWrt router, the router runs LionVPN and devices use the router LAN IP as their gateway and DNS path.
Check the router architecture before installing the IPK. The package must match opkg print-architecture and the router needs TUN, nftables, full iproute tools, CA certificates, and enough writable overlay storage.
Install the current app, verify access on your real network, then choose the route or plan that fits your device.
Download the DEB, RPM, tar.gz, or OpenWrt IPK package from the official website and confirm the SHA256 checksum matches the published value.
Install the package for your distribution, add your user to the peervpn group where applicable, then enable peervpnd with systemctl.
Use password-stdin for login, inspect account and region availability, then connect and verify the protected route.
Install the IPK that matches opkg print-architecture, configure the LAN interface and DNS listener, then point Xbox or other devices at the router LAN IP.
